Title: Hektor Meets Bergen Writers

Hektor took part in the traveling exhibition DETOX in Bergen, Norway. Together with the exhibition crew we created a selection our favourite local tags, which were then redrawn in Illustrator and reproduced on the wall facing the main entry of Bergen's beautifull Kunsthall.

With Bergen's graffiti culture still being young, rather small, and so far mostly respecting private property, there seemed to be a public interest in the phenomenon and a controversy around it that was different to other places in Europe. Bringing the tags to the gallery seemed to fit well to the prevailing questions about wether graffiti can be looked at as art, vandalism, or both.
